1. Download the Lightroom Mobile App

Download the free Lightroom App from the mobile App Store and create an account if you don’t have one yet.

2. Download Your Preset(s)

On your iPhone, locate the email you received with the link to your preset(s) and click to download the file. Once downloaded, you should see a blue circle with an arrow appear at the left bottom of your screen, near the URL. Tap the arrow and click ‘downloads’. Your preset file will appear there.

3. Importing Your Lightroom Preset(s)

From here, you have 2 options to get the file into the Lightroom mobile app:

Option 1: Tap on the file to open it, and tap on the screen again to locate the share icon at the bottom left (square with arrow icon). From this screen, you can share the preset file directly to the Lightroom app (note if you don’t see an icon for Lightroom, you may need to look for it under ‘More’ depending on your app preferences). Once you locate it, tap and the preset file will immediately open within the Lightroom app.

Option 2: Hit ‘save image’. Navigate to the Lightroom app on your phone. With the ‘Lightroom’ tab selected at the bottom of the screen, hit the dropdown menu up top and then ‘Create New’ and ‘Album’. Title this ‘FindUsLost Presets’. Once created, tap the button to add a photo and locate the .dng file on your phone’s camera roll. (Note with the new iPhone update, it may appear in ‘Recent Days > Saved Today’ only. If you are having trouble locating it, I recommend creating an album within your camera roll and saving it there for easy access.)

4. Final Step: Installing the Preset(s)

Tap the 3 dots on the top right corner then select the ‘Create Preset’ button. Under ‘Preset Name’ type in the name of the preset displayed in the image (i.e. Glow). Under ‘Preset Group’, create a new preset group and name it accordingly (i.e. FindUsLost Presets). Tap OK and then tap the checkmark at the top right corner to save. Repeat this on each individual preset.

4. Applying Presets to Your Photos

Your presets are now ready to use within the Lightroom app. Simply open an image, select ‘presets’ (make sure you’re under the ‘Yours’ tab) and tap to apply it to your image.

5. Adjusting Preset Intensity

To modify the strength of any preset, tap it again to access the intensity slider. Adjust until you achieve your desired look, then confirm with the checkmark in the bottom right corner.

6. Customizing Your Edit

I always recommend adjusting your settings (such as exposure, temperature etc) as needed to perfect your image. Different lighting conditions and scenes may call for some tweaks depending on your starting photo.

7. Exporting Your Work

When you’re satisfied with your edit, export your photo by selecting the share icon in the top right corner.
