Your travel personality is: Folegandros

Romantic Wanderer • Slow Travel Lover • Off-the-Radar Seeker
Why Folegandros Gets You: Flashy isn't your style. You want the Greece that still feels like a secret: where you can get lost down a bougainvillea-draped alley and stumble upon a tiny church with million-dollar views. You measure a trip's success by how far you strayed from the plan, how many locals you chatted with, how many hours you spent doing absolutely nothing but watching the sea. Discovery over itinerary, always.
Your travel style: You'll choose the family taverna with plastic chairs over the trendy spot with a PR team. A broken sandal on an ATV adventure? That's the story you'll tell for years. You want long lunches, meandering walks, time to actually be somewhere instead of just seeing it. Your travel motto: if there's a ferry schedule for it, it might be too popular.
You're not here to follow the crowd; you're here to find the places the crowd hasn't found yet.
Why I Love Folegandros
Folegandros is pure magic, from the moment you pass through the Chora until you arrive at an untouched beach. It's probably the island I recommend the most, because I still can't believe it's a secret. Only a 50 minute ferry ride from Santorini, it's accessible and authentic.
My Favorite Stays in Folegandros
Blue Sand Hotel – Cycladic-style rooms perfectly positioned on one of the island’s best beaches with stunning views of the Aegean Sea. One of my favorite stays, ever.
Perigiali Airbnb – a modern, white-washed Greek apartment with everything you could possibly need for a longer stay. The location is perfect: it's perched overlooking the best beach on the island.
Gundari – minimalistic luxury: this 5-star resort with a spa is set dramatically on rugged cliffs overlooking the coastline. Suites and villas here have private pools; it's a truly splurge-worthy property.

I'm Selena
I've spent the last decade exploring the Greek Islands, from famous islands to quiet corners most travelers miss. Half Greek (and half Dutch), my love for Greece transcends generations: I grew up visiting family there, and now I return every year for at least a month.
My guides and resources are designed to help you experience destinations in a way that feels thoughtful, beautiful, and deeply memorable. I'm so glad you're here!
