Find Us Lost is designed to inspire and inform your travels by featuring curated guides, unique destinations and experiences around the world. I hope to encourage your own life of travel.

In 2016 I took a leap of faith and decided to trade my life in California for an adventure abroad. I was working in Los Angeles at the time and it had always been a dream of mine to live in Europe. I convinced my then boyfriend, Jacob (now husband), to move abroad with me. That decision kicked off a series of life-changing events that has completely shaped Find Us Lost and who I am as a person. We left that spring for a three-month road trip through the Balkans, promising friends and family we’d share photos of our travels on Instagram before we relocated to Amsterdam.

Twelve countries and six thousand kilometers later, with Jacob’s help, we launched the Find Us Lost blog. During the process of planning our initial road trip, I was struggling to find a source of inspiration that combined beautiful photos with the information I needed to plan our stops. I decided this blog would focus on visual travel guides specifically designed to both inspire and inform people’s travels.

I originally planned to find a job abroad, but that never happened! While sharing our story on Instagram, we started traveling more and more. Instead of spending the majority of our time in Amsterdam, we were always on the road: improving our photography, sharing guides from the cities and countries we were exploring, hunting for unique destinations, creating videos together, meeting other like-minded travelers, and so much more.

We tied the knot in 2017 in Kauai, steps from where Jacob proposed to me after we first left for our adventure. In 2018 I finally made the leap to become a full-time travel blogger. I was terrified at first; but it’s turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made. My passion for inspiring others to keep traveling seems to grow more each day and with each new destination I visit.

Most recently, we relocated to New York City. In 2019 it was finally time for me to build the website I always dreamed of having to plan my travels. A new Find Us Lost blog has now launched, with a destinations page I’ve been dreaming about for years: one that can be completely customized to inspire and plan your next trip. From long weekend getaways to month-long trips, romance to adventure, budget-friendly getaways to the ultimate bucket list experiences around the world, it’s all there. It’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life starting a blog, and I’m still learning from it every day. I never knew that my passion for travel would lead to such a positive lifestyle change — one that seemed completely unattainable to me only a few years ago! I hope my story inspires you to pursue your ideal life of travel, whether that means frequent weekend trips or becoming location independent.
