We just got back from our winter trip to Romania, and it was such a magical place! It was snowing right until our plane touched down (we actually had to circle a few times before we could land) so by the time we arrived, it looked like a winter wonderland there. We rented a car from Bucharest Airport and drove straight to Brașov to tour the Transylvania area for the next few days and put together this Romania video.

My favorite parts of the trip were: taking a day trip to Sighisoara, a pastel-colored town with beautiful views; discovering quaint shops and cafes in Brasov; enjoying the spa and grounds during our stay at the Teleferic Grand Hotel; visiting the old fortress in Rasnov; and seeing Peleș Castle, which looked straight out of a fairytale. Since Brasov is a ski town it was constantly bustling, but as soon as we ventured out on a drive it felt like we had the Transylvanian countryside all to ourselves. I loved it.
