Find Us Lost is designed to inspire and inform your travels by featuring curated guides, unique destinations and experiences around the world. I hope to encourage people to create their own life of travel.

In 2016 I took a leap of faith and decided to trade my comfortable Los Angeles lifestyle for an adventure abroad. It had always been a dream of mine to live in Europe, so I convinced my then boyfriend, Jacob, (now husband) to move to Europe with me. We left that Spring for a three-month road trip through the Balkans, promising friends and family we’d share photos of our travels through Instagram before we relocated to Amsterdam.

Twelve countries and six thousand kilometers later, with Jacob’s help, I launched finduslost.com. During the process of planning our initial road trip, I was struggling to find a source of inspiration that combined beautiful photos with the information I needed to plan our stops. I decided our blog would focus on travel guides specifically designed to both inspire and inform people’s travels.

I never could have predicted what happened next. From sharing our story and photos on Instagram, we started traveling more to take photos and videos of hotels, destinations, and brands. Instead of spending the majority of our time at home in Amsterdam, we kept finding ways to be on the road. We fell in love with the creative aspect of what we had started together, and kept finding ways to improve our photos, share guides from the cities and countries we explored, research new destinations, guest blog about our trips, create videos together, and so much more.

Now, we travel full-time and spend the majority of our days on the road. We tied the knot in 2017 at a destination wedding in Kauai, steps from where Jacob proposed to me.

It’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life starting a blog, and I’m still learning from it every day. I never knew that my passion for travel would lead to such a positive lifestyle change — one that seemed completely unattainable to me only a couple years ago! I hope my story inspires you to pursue the life you want, whether that means taking trips on weekends or becoming a full-time traveler.
